Travelling north through sugarcane farmlands we commence our scenic coastal drive along the Captain Cook Highway, one of the world's most beautiful coastal routes, aside the Coral Sea and flanked by rainforested mountains with glorious views of offshore islands.

We arrive at Daintree for morning tea before relaxing on a one-hour cruise on the mighty Daintree River. With the assistance of an experienced river guide you will see the special wildlife of the Daintree River, the domain of the estuarine crocodile and also living amongst the mangrove and rainforest lined river banks are tree snakes, pythons, a large variety of land and waterbirds and butterflies, so be sure to have your camera ready.

A visit to historic Daintree Village reveals the amazing wood crafts of the Daintree Timber Museum. Enjoy a first-class luncheon of Barramundi*, garden salads and a tropical fruit tasting, accompanied with fresh juice, tea/coffee in the tropical surrounds of Daintree Tea House.

Experience the beauty of the ancient rainforest on an easy, guided walk in Mossman Gorge followed by an informative tour of historic Port Douglas.
